Jorge González
Dr. Jorge Gonzalez is the director of research for the Materials Discovery Research Institute (MDRI) at UL Research Institutes, where he leads programs advancing the understanding and application of atomic, nanoscale, and mesoscale materials. In his role, Gonzalez helps guide MDRI’s scientific strategy and oversees research initiatives that drive innovation in materials science, all with the goal of reducing health and safety risks while supporting resilience and sustainability in an evolving world.
With extensive experience as a materials scientist, Dr. Gonzalez has contributed to pioneering projects across energy storage, advanced materials design, and collaborative research partnerships. His expertise bridges fundamental discovery and applied science, ensuring MDRI’s work results in both technical breakthroughs and real-world impact.
